Good times

We went to a family wedding last night and we had so much fun. The wedding was absolutely beautiful! The flowers, the bride, the groom and the guests! We danced the night away. Weddings always make me happy and thankful for the wonderful husband I have. The beautiful children I have and the one day they will marry. Weddings make everyone a bit mushy I think!

Kid Rock in Concert!!!!!!!

Nick and I went to the Kid Rock concert Sunday night and it was Nick's first time going and my 2nd. I was not quite sure how Nick would react because lets just say there is alot of different people that go to his concerts. What an amazing show he puts on! He has everyone's attention in the audience and they do whatever he asks which makes it more amazing! It was at DTE Theater which is outdoor so mostly lawn seating and some pavillion. We were in the pavillion and it was about 90 degrees out. We never sat during the entire show and my hair was soaking wet but I enjoyed every minute of it! I am not sure how many of you out there used to be RUN DMC fans but Rev Run came out and performed with Kid Rock and OMG they rocked it out! Nick was sitting on the couch last night and asked me if I wanted to go to his concert tonight again! I was like OMG are you kidding me I would love to go but it is supposed to rain and they only have lawn seats available :(

I have been doing a poll and wondering if his concerts here are so amazing because he is from Detroit and people just love him or are they all amazing? I would like some feedback if anyone can help me out.

This post is going all over the place today LOL I am at work typing this and I swear dealing with customers all day it sometimes a challenge. I love the customer that comes in with a popcorn bag and stuffing his face with it then proceeds to ask me a question with popcorn flying out of his mouth GROSS! Do people not think of that or are they just plain RUDE?

Ok I am off back to service the rude customers today cuz it seems to be the trend.

Vacation!

It sure has been awhile since I posted anything. We went on vacation and the Saturday before we left Nick was not feeling so good and I kept saying "suck it up we are going on vacation". That was a statement that would bite me in the ass in a few days! We left on Sunday and Nick was feeling worse with sore throat, cold symptoms, and a fever. On Tuesday I came down with it and was less than happy! So Wednesday we were feeling so bad that we decided to go to the clinic up there and I freggin hate when they say it is a virus and there is nothing they can do for it ugh! So I decided if we were going to be sick then I would rather be sick at home. Believe me when I say I am no baby when it comes to colds and things like that so I knew this one was particuarly bad because it just wore my ass down! So our anniversary was Thursday and we went to the show and that was about it. Friday I was feeling so miserable that I called my friend who is a dentist and asked her to call me in some antibiotics and she did. So the week pretty much sucked!!!!! Then on Saturday at 6:00 a.m. I got a call from the nursing home my mom is in and they said they were taking her to the hospital she was in severe respiratory distress! We hurried to the hospital to find out she was in Acute Renal Failure and her blood pressure was so low they were going to put her in ICU. They only ended up putting her in a normal room for a few days and then she ended up in ICU with sepsis. My mom has been thru some pretty bad things in the last almost 5 years but I have never seen her so ill. She was totally unresponsive to me and would not even open her eyes. I left the hospital that night thinking that she would not come out of this and was very scared! I got up early the next morning to go there before work and when I got there I could hear her talking from the hallway. I was like NO WAY! I was so tickled to see her feeling much better! She ended up being in there for almost 3 weeks. She is now back at her nursing home.

I know when things get tough it is so easy to get down and feel like having a pity party but I always try to look at the good in it or the lesson to be learned in it. So yeah our vacation pretty much sucked ass but that was the first time EVER that I have got sick on a vacation so I have had alot of very GREAT vacations to be thankful for! As far as my mom, I am glad I have more time with her! I think she has such a strong will to live that she just keeps moving on and I LOVE IT! I know there will come a day when she can't anymore but I will face that day when it comes and be grateful for the time I have with her now! I will leave everything in GOD'S hands and that is all I can do.

Our summer has been a busy one I thought the school activities stopped during the summer WRONG! Sarah has cheerleading 3 times a week and Marco has marching band 2 times a week. Dom well he has 2 AP classes to do work for so it still feels like he is in school. I can't believe they are already showing Back to School sales... what is wrong with this world? Let us enjoy the summer as much as we can without being reminded that school starts soon LOL.

I am gonna go now it is beautiful outside and we are taking the Chevelle out today to a car show! One of my favorite things to do!
