ER

My son Marco has acid reflux and occasionally takes Prevacid. I don't give it to him all the time because for the most part he is good. Once in awhile he will eat something that triggers it and then he takes it. I am not a fan of them being on a medicine all the time unless it is really needed. So he as at his dad's house Wednesday night and he had a bad stomach ache they gave him his medicine and it really didn't help. I called him thru out the day and he seemed to be feeling better but just tired. When I pulled in the driveway and hit the garage door he came out looking like shit and said mom you have to take me to the hospital. Off we went. We got there and they were examining him the dr said he thought it was acid reflux. I told him that we were there one time in the summer and they gave him something to drink and within minutes he was feeling better. The dr looked it up in the computer and came in with the same thing. I swear within minutes Marco was smiling. I asked the dr if we could have that in prescription for when it gets this bad so we don't have to come back. It does not come in prescription you can only get it at the hospital. It was Maalox and Donatol (spelling?). We were discharged and he has to go to a gastro guy now. Thank God for the juicy cocktail he got. On the way home he says can we stop at McDonalds????? I was like hell no you just had a bad stomach ache are you kidding me. That just goes to show the resliance (spelling?) of kids. We got home and he ate some potatoes and a sandwich and seems to be fine now. By the way, why do drs keep getting younger? or am I getting older? nahh it is not me it is them LOL.
