Hair

I have a confession to make... I love getting my hair done. I have gone to several salons over the years. I stayed at one particular salon for 10 years changing hairdressers 2 times during that period. I think that after awhile you either get bored with them or they get to used to doing your hair and are not willing to do something different. I went to this one salon that I absolutely loved. I loved the hairdresser there too her name was Kelly also LOL. I stopped going there because the last time I went and got my hair done with a cut and highlights it cost me $220.00. I was like no way that is way to expensive. I ended up going back to the old salon. It was ok I was not that thrilled with it. The cost there for a cut and highlights was $135.00. I still thought that was a little bit too much. The last time I got my hair done there I was not happy with any of it. About a year ago I was trying to grow my hair out which never ends up working for me. I got up on a Saturday and said to Sarah lets go get my hair cut. I didn't have an appointment anywhere so I said lets just go down this bust street and see what is open. I was being daring. We ended up at this ok salon nothing fancy but the girl Katie who cut my hair did a fantastic job and it only cost me $11.99. I was in shock and happy at the same time. I have been going to her since. At breakfast this weekend I ran into Kelly and she is working at a different salon. I was happy to see her and asked how much are your haircuts. Her response was $55.00 but I will give you 50% off your first haircut tho. I was sitting at work yesterday thinking I do need a haircut so I called and made an appointment with Kelly. After I did that I was feeling like I was 2-timing Katie LOL. So I called and cancelled my appointment with Kelly and made one with Katie. I really could get my hair cut every 3 weeks and the way I rationalized it in my head was that I could not afford $55.00 every three weeks or so. My hair and nails grow so damn fast. If my hair was long I could go longer without a hair cut but when you have a short style bob and the layers grow out it looks like shit! I also feel very comfortable with Katie and I decided that I am just gonna stick with her. Sarah was laughing at my dilema over getting my hair cut. She thought it was funny. I said I take this very seriously LOL.

It is cold and snowy again here today. I don't think spring is ever going to come. I can't even believe Easter is this Sunday. I bought egg coloring kits yesterday to color eggs with the kids. I can't believe they still like to color eggs but they do. I got the tie dye one and the sparkle one thinking the kids would love it. Guess what, Sarah said mom those are so stupid. I was like what do you mean? She said they are hard to do. They are using them tho because I am not taking them back. I had to go online yesterday to print our free tickets for church Sunday. The 11:00 service was already full so we had to take the 9:00 or 1:00 so I picked the 9:00. The kids will be thrilled about that. We are going to church, to see my mom and then my MIL's for a BBQ. It should be a fun day. The weather is supposed to be decent too.
